For a well known client operating in the United Arab Emirates, we are currently looking for an Auditor to support Internal Audit Team with Maintenance Unit 1& 2 and Preservation Unit 3&4 Audit. This is a 2 months assignment.

Role description

Review of Plant Maintenance (Unit 1& 2)

The review will assess adequacy of the plant maintenance processes, planning, procedures and execution of work. The review will also assess adequacy of administration of key maintenance agreements.

Review of Unit 3 & 4 Preservation Activities Oversight

The review will assess adequacy of procedures and manuals established to ensure Unit 3&4 equipment and systems turned over to our client are adequately maintained and operable for Fuel Load and operations.

Responsibilities

Review of Plant Maintenance (Unit 1& 2)

The review will assess adequacy of the plant maintenance processes, planning, procedures and execution of work. The review will also assess adequacy of administration of key maintenance agreements.

 

The review will include but not limited to the following:

1. Assess adequacy of design and compliance with maintenance strategy, processes, programs and procedures (including Work Instructions) established to support plant maintenance including compliance with regulatory requirements.

2. Assess adequacy and completeness of the maintenance strategy and its implementation.

3. Assess adequacy of Plant Maintenance management through SAP (planning, approval, conduct, backlog monitoring, tracking results, link to Bill of Materials, etc.)

4. Assess adequacy of preventive, corrective and predictive maintenance (planning, execution, back log monitoring and reporting etc.).

5. Assess adequacy of roles & responsibility (clarity and segregation of duties).

6. Assess the adequacy of the resource plans for supporting outages and managing routine activities after the substantial completion.

7. Verify the adequacy of the records maintained for the maintenance activities and reporting of results.

8. Assess adequacy of controls in place to meet the regulatory requirements.

 

Review of Unit 3 & 4 Preservation Activities Oversight

The review will assess adequacy of procedures and manuals established to ensure Unit 3&4 equipment and systems turned over to our client are adequately maintained and operable for Fuel Load and operations.

 

The review will include but not limited to the following:

1. Assess adequacy of design and compliance with the procedures established to support system and component preservations and layup.

2. Assess adequacy of the prime contractor and their sub-contractors compliance of procedures.

3. Assess adequacy of Oversight of contractor activities on preventive and corrective maintenance4. Assess adequacy of using lessons learned from Unit 1 & 2 for Unit 3 &

4. This will also include assessing prime contractor’s performance on CCR issued for additional PM activities.

5. Verify the implementation of enhanced PMs established for preservation.

6. Assess adequacy of back-log monitoring and reporting.

7. Assess adequacy of roles & responsibility (clarity and segregation of duties).

8. Assess adequacy of the process for tracking and monitoring of Spares and components issued from Unit 3 & 4 for Unit 1 & 2 (due to non-availability of spares) for timely return.

9. Verify the adequacy of the records maintained.

10. Assess adequacy of controls in place to meet the regulatory requirements.
