For further development of the business for an SMR project in Canada, we are currently looking for a Business Development Manager. This is a permanent position to be based in Saint John, NB. The position requires some time to be spent in Ontario and elsewhere in Canada as well.

Role description

To build and maintain relationships is a core part of Business Development. Further development of the business will require the client to have strong relationships with provincial and federal governments, the nuclear industry and potential customers. The individual will work closely with and report directly to the CEO for North America.

Responsibilities

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with provincial and national governments not only to help increase support for the client, but also to secure funding
  • Researching the market and industry trends
  • Developing and implementing sales strategies
  • Increasing the value of current customers while attracting new ones
  • Supporting the pursuit of private sector investment and establishing partnerships for future development phases
  • Establishing relationships within the industry including potential partners, industry associations, academic institutions and relevant public sector bodies

Essential skills

  • We are currently recruiting applicants that are legally entitled to work in Canada.
  • BS in Engineering, Science, or Business or comparable experience in lieu of degree
  • 5-10 years of sales experience required
  • Highly articulate and a passionate communicator with strong spoken and written language skills
  • An experienced and capable presenter to both small and large groups

Desired skills

  • French would be an asset
  • Experience in nuclear industry

Rate/Salary

  • Salary depending on experience
