Role description

Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) is a multidisciplinary research institution dedicated to enhancing national security by ensuring the safety and reliability of the U.S. nuclear stockpile, developing technologies to reduce threats from weapons of mass destruction, and solving problems related to energy, environment, infrastructure, health, and global security concerns.

LANL is a Federally Funded Research and Development Center which aligns their strategic plan with priorities set by the Department of Energy (DOE), the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA), and key relevant national strategy guidance documents, such as the Nuclear Posture Review, the National Security Strategy , and the Blueprint for a Secure Energy Future.

In November of 2018, Los Alamos National Laboratory began operating under a new management and operating (M&O) contract between Triad National Security, LLC (Triad) and the U.S Department of Energy’s National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA).  The NNSA awarded the contract to Triad on June 8, 2018.  Triad is a public service oriented, national security science organization equally owned by its three founding members: Battelle Memorial Institute (Battelle), The Texas A&M University System (TAMUS), and The Regents of the University of California (UC).

Location:      Los Alamos National Laboratory, near Santa Fe, New Mexico

Responsibilities

  • Ability to integrate schedules, attach and manage baselines
  • Accountable for managing a PMB, including change control
  • Administers strong critical thinking skills while demonstrating Project Management capabilities.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel required
  • Demonstrates knowledge and experience with Primavera 6 and Microsoft Project Software with complex schedules
  • Knowledge of scheduling in an EVM environment or developmental environment
  • Administer schedule development and maintenance, statusing, coaching others, and helping set up best practices for schedule focused activities

Essential skills

We are currently recruiting applicants that are legally entitled to work in the United States of America and have an Active Q Clearance (or the ability to receive Q Clearance).

  • Experience in a DOE environment
