Role description

o Drives realization of defined program objectives through co-ordination of capabilities from Bank and vendor partners.

o Helps define / shape program mandates

o Responsible for providing the portfolio management across all transformation change projects

o Help translate digital roadmaps across Banks Deputyships into actionable programs.

o Work collaboratively with governance structures such ExCo, SteerCo to ensure planned delivery in line with well defined RACIs.

o Ensure scalable governance structures are institutionalized to meet scale objectives.

o Ensure reporting to right stakeholders on a ‘need-to-know’ basis.

o Manage all strategically identified transformation projects from inception, delivery to closure, supporting across the lifecycle of project delivery and benefits realization

o Ensure definition of best practice and procedures for strategic programs

o Understand the depth and breadth of internal organizational functions and processes but also scan external ecosystems to identify current technology, resources or vendors that are viable partners to compliment, innovate and add value to strategic initiatives

o Undertake trouble-shooting activities on projects as required by analyzing the problem and putting in place the appropriate corrective action(s).

o Lead or review the outputs from post-project and program reviews to look for opportunities to improve methods, training and guidance.

o Ability to work with partners and providers to drive large programs by driving ‘one team’ approach.

o Align proposition, process, people, platform and plans to deliver promised outcomes

o Drive monthly planning and suitable ongoing planning to deliver Month-on-Month transformation

o Enable program outcomes both in agile delivery models as per program needs

o Enable smooth transition to ‘run’ from program organization (knowledge, capabilities, systems etc.)

Knowledge, Experience and Skills

  • Experience
    • 15+ years of experience as Program Manager
    • Multi-party, multi-year program experience required
    • Professional experience in financial systems and technology solutions.
    • High level of organization, managing risk and decision-making skills working in a fast-paced work environment.
    • A systematic approach to work maintaining accountability, plans and demonstrations of success.
    • History of developing and mentoring teams and communicating vision to directors and executive leadership.
  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Finance related
    • Master’s degree in Management or Business related field
    • PMP certified
  • Skills
    • Excellent English speaking/writing as a native
