Our client is a successful global consulting organization leading in technology advisory across all industry sectors and expanding rapidly across the region. They currently require a Senior Engagement Manager.

Role description

This is a long-term position, based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Knowledge, Experience and Skills

  • Lead the engagement, which includes a transformation part and an operational part:

Transformation: Definition of an IT strategy, refinement of the operating model, sizing of the human resources requirements and organization change management campaign

Operations: Deployment of resources from our client to build and operate the capabilities for the client and transfer them by ensuring a proper transition and handover (Business analysis and business relationship management; Architecture; Service enablement; Sourcing governance)

  • Manage the engagement and identify new opportunities
  • Deliver plans on time which are compliant with corporate standards
  • Communicate and effectively disseminates required goals to managers and their teams
  • Maintain effective mechanisms for monitoring performance and initiates corrective action as appropriate
  • Ensures that the budget is tightly managed and awards are fairly administered in a way that recognises genuine high performance

Essential skills

  • MSc in computer science, information technology, business administration or equivalent
  • Scrum, SAFe or other agile certifications
  • ITIL / COBIT certification
  • 20+ years of experience in leading transformation projects with important change resistance
  • Consulting background
  • Understand internal structures including key actors, decision- influencers and use this knowledge when formal structures do not work
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent active listening skills
  • Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships
  • Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal
  • Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations
  • Resilient and tenacious with a propensity to persevere

  • Change management certification or designation desired

  • Identify and maintains regular contacts with main customers. Answer customers’ queries promptly and follow up on them until satisfied
  • Analyze relationships amongst several parts of a problem or situation. Identify alternative solutions and think through consequences of actions
  • Take action before being asked or being forced to by circumstance and consider and try out ‘different’ ways of tackling things
  • Create opportunities or minimize potential problems by taking a unique extra effort (within one to three month time frame)
