Waste Treatment Business Manager – Cyclife UK

We are looking for a Waste Treatment Business Manager who will be responsible for the delivery of contracts within waste treatment and decommissioning projects for Cyclife UK – part of EDF.

Role Description

As the Waste Treatment Business Manager, you will lead the development of new tenders and ensure contracts are secured and delivered according to the needs of each client. You will also lead the development / monitoring of Waste Treatment business plans as well as managing the relationships with the clients / customers.

Responsibilities

  • Management, recording and reporting of project performance (KPI’s, Customer Updates, Treatment Reports).
  • Liaise with the Cost Engineer / Finance Dept to ensure revenue recognition, invoicing and cost accruals are implemented in accordance with business procedures and contractual requirements.
  • Liaise with operational staff to understand project performance and schedule (both UK and Sweden).
  • Support operational staff in the development of contractual correspondence where required.
  • Interface with customers on project performance and future opportunities – obtaining forward schedules and updating forecasts (including Salesforce) where necessary.
  • Ensure that project spends (excluding operational hours) are controlled within project budgets, managing suppliers and sub-contractors as required.
  • To ensure that projects are satisfactorily closed out and reported upon completion. In co-ordination with the Waste Delivery Team ensure that all secondary waste disposals are completed in line with contractual requirements and costs controlled.
  • Liaise with MRF staff to develop and monitor costs against the MRF Budget.
  • Authorisation of Purchase Orders in compliance with company processes.
  • Lead on the development of new customer bids in accordance with Business Procedures.
  • Authorisation of Price Confirmations (under existing frameworks) where required.
  • To support the development and implementation of management systems and procedures applicable to the Business Management Area.
  • Ensure project and costs controls are executed in accordance with the appropriate Cyclife UK Management Systems and Authorities.
  • Provide support to other business areas, including the wider Cyclife Group, as and when required by business needs.

Skills and Experience

  • Experience authoring tenders or technical writing
  • Experience within customer/client account management
  • Experience with NEC / Commercial Contracts
  • Experience within nuclear / radioactive waste
