Our client, an innovative nuclear technology company is seeking a Nuclear Licensing Manager to lead regulatory strategy for a next-generation Small Modular Reactor project. This is a rare opportunity to play a central role in a first-of-a-kind reactor deployment, guiding licensing from design finalization through construction.

In this high-impact role, you will own licensing execution, serve as the primary interface with the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), and ensure regulatory excellence across all project phases. You’ll work closely with engineering, operations, QA, and project teams to translate complex requirements into compliant, actionable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead licensing execution in alignment with overall regulatory strategy

• Ensure compliance with 10 CFR, NRC guidance, and industry standards

• Support CP, PSAR, and subsequent licensing phases

• Prepare for and lead NRC interactions, inspections, audits, and meetings

• Develop licensing submittals, RAI responses, and technical justifications

• Maintain licensing basis documentation and configuration control

• Serve as the licensing interface across technical and project teams

• Mentor junior staff and help evolve licensing programs

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, or related field

• 8-10+ years in nuclear licensing or regulatory affairs

• Strong NRC regulatory knowledge and submittal experience

• Excellent technical writing skills
