We are currently looking for a Cost Engineer to join the Cost and Forecasting team across the HPC project, ensuring consistent application of the Cost and Forecasting strategy throughout the project. The role involves supporting implementation of cost-specific processes and frameworks, adhering to all governance arrangements, and providing timely and accurate reporting of Cost and Forecasting information.
Key Responsibilities:

Produce and maintain accurate cost and forecast data in alignment with the Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS) or Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).

Accurately update and manage all Cost and Forecast data within relevant software systems, such as EcoSys or SAP, for the assigned area of responsibility.

Support the Trend & Change process by performing project-level analysis, generating performance indicators, and highlighting areas of risk and opportunity.

Deliver clear and concise insights to inform robust decision-making, leveraging both commercial and technical data to influence outcomes.

Provide analytical support to Senior Cost Engineers through interpretation of technical, financial, and performance data to aid prioritisation and action planning.

Collaborate effectively with colleagues across teams and organisational boundaries, reflecting the HPC project values of Humility, Positivity, Respect, Solidarity, and Clarity, and promoting a culture of Trust, Transparency, and Teamwork.

Apply fundamental project and business project controls principles, integrating with wider management processes.

Promote and embed a culture of good governance, risk awareness, and compliance, supporting education on project controls reporting and recommending improvements.

Ensure all project documents, particularly Sensitive Nuclear Information, are correctly protectively marked and safeguarded in accordance with organisational policies.

Coordinate and produce Cost and Forecasting reports according to defined cycles, providing commentary on key time-related drivers and performance issues.
Required Skills and Experience:

Minimum of an HND or equivalent qualification in Project Management, Project Controls, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience working in a Project Management environment.

Demonstrable experience in a project controls discipline.

Experience on a major construction project is desirable but not required.
-
Experience in the Nuclear Industry is desirable but not required.
