What This Role Offers

Location: Bellevue, WA (Remote)

Full-Time | Remote | Contract – 12 months, with high likelihood of extension based on performance/job needs

Schedule: Monday-Friday

Salary Range: $69-$115/hour

Responsibilities

  • Act as liaison between reactor/plant design groups and the Commissioning/Operations team

  • Coordinate creation of test abstracts and test specifications by design groups to support commissioning/startup test procedure development

  • Develop and deliver training for system design engineers on authoring test abstracts and specifications

  • Support procedure management and scheduling

  • Drive cross-discipline review and approval of test specifications to ensure required test data supports system quality and functionality

  • Ensure test documentation is completed accurately and on schedule, collaborating with engineering teams to resolve challenges

  • Develop and implement testing strategies encompassing functional, regression, performance, and acceptance testing

  • Participate in design reviews to provide early feedback on testability and quality

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field

  • 10+ years of experience, including at least 2 years in hardware testing or reactor/reactor plant testing

  • Proficiency writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test documentation (abstracts, specifications, procedures)

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

  • Experience with design engineering and systems engineering

  • Understanding of startup test programs and the inputs needed to support a startup test plan and requisite procedures

  • Ability to review design documents and translate them into test specifications

  • Project coordination / project management experience

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of commercial nuclear and/or naval nuclear power

  • Familiarity with startup testing approaches, tools, and processes

  • Knowledge of Equipment Qualification process/requirements/program

  • Understanding of systems engineering and requirements verification and validation
