Engineering and Design Processes Engineer

The Engineering and Design Process Engineer serves as the primary interface between our client’s established processes and the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) organization. This role ensures that EPC engineering activities are aligned with our client’s expectations, workflows, requirements, and governance. The EDP is responsible for mapping, interpreting, and communicating the TerraPower processes to EPC engineering teams, identifying gaps, facilitating process adoption, and supporting EPC personnel as they navigate our client’s procedures throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Qualifications and Skills

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Nuclear, or related field).
• 6-10 years of experience in EPC project environments, preferably in the energy, infrastructure, or industrial sectors.
• Experience working directly with structured process frameworks (e.g., gated engineering processes, project lifecycle management, quality management systems).
• Prior experience in process engineering, project engineering, or project management is highly preferred.

Technical Knowledge

• Strong understanding of EPC project execution phases (engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning).
• Familiarity with process mapping methodologies (e.g., BPMN, SIPOC, flowcharting).
• Understanding of project governance, quality assurance, configuration management, and engineering work processes.
• Ability to interpret engineering deliverables, specifications, and procedures.
