You secure the convergence of product and project requirements, strengthen configuration and change processes, and contribute to high standards of safety, compliance, and performance.
Your expertise supports a robust systems engineering foundation for the new nuclear power plants. You ensure that requirements are governed, aligned with regulatory frameworks, and embedded effectively within the organisation and its suppliers.
Key tasks and responsibilities
- Collect, structure, and maintain stakeholder, system, and project requirements, ensuring end-to-end traceability.
- Update and govern requirements management processes, including alignment with configuration and change management.
- Manage convergence of product and project requirements together with system technical leaders.
- Coordinate verification & validation planning to ensure requirement compliance.
- Assess and support the migration or optimisation of requirements databases and IT-platforms.
- Facilitate requirement reviews, audits, and progress reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
- Liaise with suppliers, engineering consultancies, and projectteams to ensure contract and design alignment with requirements.
- Support interface management when requirements span multiple engineering or supplier domains.
- Provide systems engineering advice and strengthen the application of structured engineering processes.
- Coach teams in requirement writing, structuring, and compliance best practices.
Key Requirements:
- Significant years of experience in nuclear regulated industries
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, permitting processes, and compliance requirements for large infrastructure or energy-generation projects.
- Experience interfacing with regulatory authorities, technical experts, and external consultants in the context of licensing or permitting processes.
- Ability to interpret and translate technical design information into clear regulatory documentation and compliance deliverables.
- Familiarity with nuclear safety requirements, quality assurance standards, or equivalent regulatory environments (experience in nuclear licensing is a strong plus).
- Understanding of European and/or national regulatory requirements relevant to nuclear facilities, energy generation, or critical infrastructure.
- Experience coordinating multi-stakeholder review cycles and managing documentation flows in structured, regulated environments.
- Advantageous: experience working with regulated electrical, mechanical, or structural systems; understanding of industry standards or regulatory codes.
- Ability to translate complex technical and regulatory expectations into clear, structured requirements
- Experience with systems engineering methods (INCOSE principles)
- Familiarity with requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS, Jama, 3DX or equivalents)
