System Design Engineer – Sodium Processing Systems

We’re seeking a System Design Engineer for a 12-month full-time contract based in Bellevue, United States, with the flexibility of remote work. This role offers competitive pay ranging from $52-$115/hr.

In this dynamic position within the cutting-edge field of sodium processing systems design, you’ll collaborate closely with equipment suppliers while ensuring hardware designs align perfectly with operational intent. Reporting to the System Design Manager, your expertise will contribute directly to advancing reactor technology.

Key Responsibilities:
– Develop system designs for nuclear/industrial processes from initial requirements through final delivery.
– Oversee vendor contributions on mechanical component/system designs specific to Natrium reactors.
– Coordinate analysis reviews including thermal/seismic performance and integrate findings into plant models.
– Manage engineering drawings such as P&IDs and 3D models across multi-disciplinary teams.

Desired Skills:
1. Mechanical/Chemical Expertise: Proven ability in fluid mechanics or structural/tolerance analyses ensures high-quality deliverables under strict industry codes like ASME or ASTM standards.
2. Integration Proficiency:Skillfully merge hardware components into comprehensive system architectures aligning technical objectives seamlessly-ideal candidates thrive amidst complex constraints!
