Shape the future of nuclear quality and safety at a program level

This is an opportunity to step into a high-impact QA leadership role supporting advanced nuclear development, where your expertise will directly influence regulatory compliance, supplier quality, and program excellence.

What this role offers:

Location: Remote (U.S. based) with travel
Full-Time, 6- 12-Month Contract, high likelihood of in-house conversion based on performance/job needs
Schedule: 40 hours/week
Salary Range: $75-$95 Depending on Experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain nuclear Quality Assurance Program (QAP) processes and procedures

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards including 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 21, NQA-1, and ASME BPVC Section III

  • Review and assess QAPD, NQAM, and higher-tier procedures for compliance and improvement opportunities

  • Lead and support internal audits, supplier audits, surveillances, and assessments

  • Provide subject matter expertise on nuclear QA requirements across engineering, procurement, and project teams

  • Support supplier qualification activities and oversee vendor quality performance

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across QA programs and processes

  • Mentor and train personnel on QA standards, compliance expectations, and best practices

  • Support root cause analysis and corrective action processes

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field

  • 16+ years of experience in nuclear quality assurance programs

  • Deep working knowledge of:

  • 10 CFR 50 Appendix B and 10 CFR 21

  • NQA-1 requirements

  • ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code (Section III)

  • Experience in commercial nuclear or DOE nuclear environments

  • Strong background in QA program development, audits, and supplier oversight

  • Proven experience reviewing and implementing QAPD and NQAM requirements

  • Eligibility to work under DOE 10 CFR Part 810

  • Experience with international nuclear QA standards is a plus
