What This Role Offers:
Location: Remote
Full-Time, Remote, 12-Month Contract | High likelihood of extension based on performance/job needs
Schedule: M-F
Salary Range: $54 – $90/hr

Responsibilities:

Design nuclear and industrial instrumentation and control systems, including requirements definition, analysis, specifications, and system drawings
-
Develop and maintain system architecture, control strategies, functional logic, and design documentation (e.g., P&IDs, Logic Diagrams, Interface Control Documents, Design Basis Documents)

Establish equipment and instrumentation design bases, including regulatory criteria, functional and performance criteria, and failure mode and effects analysis

Ensure proper selection and integration of instrumentation, actuation, and control hardware for nuclear service, including environmental and seismic qualification
-
Support I&C verification and validation activities including FAT, SAT, and integrated system testing

Manage technical interfaces with suppliers, including review and verification of deliverables

Support licensing activities for construction and operating permits, including development of safety analysis reports, technical specifications, and topical reports

Participate in project design reviews at milestones and periodic assessment points
Qualifications:
-
B.S. in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or related discipline from an accredited university

6+ years of relevant I&C or process systems engineering experience (Level 10); 10+ years (Level 11)

Advanced degree may partially substitute for experience depending on relevance

Demonstrated experience developing designs for complex structures and multi-discipline integration

Strong understanding of configuration management principles and design control tools in nuclear or complex industrial applications

Experience with commercial nuclear reactors, high-temperature systems, or similar design environments highly desired
-
Experience working to ASME NQA-1 or ISO 9001 quality standards

Professional Engineering (PE) licensure desired but not required

U.S. citizenship, asylum, refugee, or LPR status required due to U.S. export control requirements
