Senior Recruiter

Reporting to: Staffing Team Lead US

The Senior Recruiter will support the Thomas Thor staffing business in North America, partnering with teammates and clients to place technical and commercial experts within nuclear organizations.

This role is involved in all steps of the recruitment process, from talent mapping and sourcing to developing long-term candidate and client relationships. By utilizing industry intelligence, you will act as a trusted resource for candidates, clients, and colleagues within the energy talent market.

Responsibilities

  • Partnering with Project Director/Account Manager, engage with clients to get a clear view of their strategic and financial objectives and hiring needs and devise and carry out a targeted sourcing and research strategy to meet those needs
  • Execution of search techniques to generate pipelines of active and passive candidates necessary for client positions through direct sourcing methods (networking, referrals, social media, and research)
  • Contact sourced candidates to present and discuss the opportunity, client value proposition and unique selling points of the role.
  • Screening and interviewing candidates to ensure they are fully suitable (i.e. both qualified and interested) for the role.
  • Assist with and develop project documents and client deliverables while ensuring all activity is tracked within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Maintain and develop strong industry networks to build the Thomas Thor global reputation. For certain projects, this includes post-placement relationship management and managing contractors on-site.
  • Proactively building our nuclear community by identifying and qualifying ‘high potential’ candidates and recommending these candidates for representation
  • Identify and qualify high-potential candidates for the nuclear community and proactively identify leads for the Business Development team.

Skills or Qualifications

  • BS/BA or equivalent undergraduate degree
  • At least 3 years experience in recruiting, preferably in the nuclear sector or related industries.
  • Knowledge and experience with full-cycle recruitment
  • Experience with a Candidate Applicant Tracking System and a CRM system
  • A love of research and a high degree of organization
  • Write and speak with ease; including, the confidence and ability to liaise with senior-level clients and candidates
  • A flexible mindset and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a quickly evolving work environment
  • A proactive and self-directed individual that can fulfill duties with minimal supervision
  • Excellent work ethic and ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and follow through
  • A natural curiosity to understand what makes people tick and who thrives in different environments
  • Strong proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Information security

  • Conform to the Information Security Protocol of Thomas Thor.
  • Reporting (near) information security incidents and improvement ideas to the Security
  • Working according to procedures as drawn up in the ISO 27001 management system
  • Actively thinking along and, where possible, making suggestions for the improvement of these processes
