Role description

Would you like to expand your field of expertise and join our global client operating in Nuclear New Build Engineering?

As Electrical Engineer (Control/Peripheral) you will produce & validate Electrical design, dimensioning and customer documentation related to generator electrical, peripheral and control design. Optimising the final design with respect to manufacturability, implementation effort, customer requirement and overall costs will also be part of your tasks.

You will work closely with the Project Engineering Manager and Design Engineers, as well as align with other stake holders and excitation teams to ensure interfaces between components. Acting as interface with Automation and control (PAC) Organisation and with electrical suppliers, as well as technical support of tendering and sales teams, order management in case of questions regarding electrical & peripheral design and calculation tasks.

RESPONSIBILITIES besides already mentioned:

  • Develop and validate peripheral & control philosophy and design
  • Issue technical specifications and wiring diagrams (electrical equipment).
  • Ensure the delivery of the documents and services (time, costs, scope, quality).
  • Evaluate operation data; response to customer and site questions, customer presentations and handling of special investigations for customers
  • Communicate with workshop at hand-over and during production phase and provide NCR disposition
  • Promote teamwork and knowledge sharing in the team

Knowledge, Experience and Skills

You have Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electrical or I&C Engineering and ideally background in electrical machines (preferences on turbine generators, motors…).

Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering in the domain of new product engineering, service and/or manufacturing as well practical experience with engineering tools (E3 schematic, Visio, MS Office) are required to success in this role.

Domain expertise experience in turbo-generators and practical experience in use of engineering tools RPDM and MTA will be seen as added value in the selection process.
