As Director for Offshore Wind, your responsibilities will be to:

  • Leading the Offshore Wind business through it’s next phase of growth.
  • Lead technical work on offshore wind projects, including the provision of technical advice, authoring and review of technical reports.
  • Lead in the delivery of technical and offshore wind project management services and develop diverse expertise that can be transferred across the business.
  • Develop a portfolio of projects and contacts within the offshore wind sector by undertaking a range of business development activities.
  • Grow and lead a balanced team.
  • Develop leads and opportunities to secure additional projects in the offshore wind, including the identification of opportunities and drafting of bids.
  • Perform peer review of documentation, including intelligent client reviews of third-party deliverables.
  • Assist with the maintenance of CEA’s ISO accreditations (ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001).

Knowledge, Experience and Skills

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Experience managing consenting and permitting processes in the Offshore Wind industry
  • A proven track record in proactively managing stakeholder’s expectations, internally and externally
  • Experience within a specialist environmental discipline is desireable but not essential; e.g. Ornithology, fish ecology, commercial fisheries, marine mammals, physical processes etc.
  • Experience leading and building a team would also be beneficial but is not essential
