Role description

Within the Supply Chain Project Department, the main mission of the Order Manager is to handle in full autonomy several orders according to the Project strategy and to deal with all the commercial, supplier follow-up, delivery and administrative task linked to these orders.

You will be placing purchase orders and defining the order follow-up plan.  Also change management tasks: negotiating, writing and handling NARs and Change Orders, will be part of your tasks as well as invoices review and validation.

You will be handling the management of the claims from and to the subcontractors and closing contracts. Contract management related tasks expected from you are such as follow-up of bonds, guarantees, acceptance certificates…

Leading meetings (contractual and gate review meetings) with the Suppliers and issuance of related minutes of the meeting are also your responsibilities. Participation in audits and inspections at Suppliers’ premises might also be required.


Knowledge, Experience and Skills

  • Coordination with the engineering and inspection teams when needed
  • Management of issues linked to the subcontractors
  • Contractual milestones tracking, follow-up of remediation actions plans
  • Budget preparation and follow-up
  • Risks and Opportunities management
  • As well as writing lessons learned, updating the follow-up tools, internal reporting (operational, time schedule, progress and financial) and correspondence

Essential skills

You have an engineering degree in one of the following disciplines: electrical, mechanical, industrial or similar, and you have Supply-Chain and Project Management experience.

You are fluent in English and familiar with Microsoft office suite, Documentum and VPRM.

Communication skills enabling you to coordinate and moderate discussions on technical and commercial issues with different entities are the key to successfully work in this position.
