Lead Commissioning Engineer – Offshore Wind

Role description

For a well known client operating in Scotland, we are currently looking for a Lead Commissioning Engineer to work on an offshore wind power project. This is a 3 months contract, with potential extension onshore.

Job Description :

• Lead and coordinate the Hook-up works, those including support for product lines (Power Transformer, GIS Switchgear, Telecoms, LV ac works etc).
• Provide support for SCADA system offshore testing, this includes the operation of switchgear for signal testing, prove of interlocking scheme, etc.
• Prove all the protection scheme that was not proved during the Yard commissioning.
• Prove all the schematic control, protection, interlocking etc that was not proved at the Yard.
• Coordinate with Onshore commissioning team for commissioning of all onshore/ offshore interfaces, including interfaces to Offshore Platform B.
• Review the YARD commissioning document, to ensure all testing necessary was performed and the results are “correct”. And to ensure all commissioning documentation had been signed off, including drawings.
• Sign off the Ready to Energise Certificate – Confirming the offshore Platform can be safety energised (back feed – System Voltage).
