Mechanical System Engineer

“The team is made up of knowledgeable and experienced professionals that provide sound engineering advice to all of our customers and ensure that the Plant & Apparatus remains available, compliant and safe. We are looking to welcome an individual that can bring their experience and knowledge to further develop and innovate our offering to the business.

System Engineering is a specialist team made up of highly skilled individuals across the full range of Engineering disciplines, i.e. Mechanical, Electrical, Civil and EC&I, with the responsibility of maintaining an appropriate Asset Management strategy.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the management and oversight of a range of mechanical systems (fluid handling and treatment, heating and ventilation, air conditioning, towns main water) and will become a valued addition to a dynamic and pro-active group of System Engineers.”

As a Mechanical System Engineer, you will:

  • Monitor and report on the system health of mechanical assets
  • Develop routine maintenance arrangements in line with the long-term company strategy for specific assets and systems
  • Prepare design and technical specifications for plant modifications

Skills and Experience

  • Educated to HNC or Engineering Degree
  • Questioning attitude and willingness to research asset history in situations where information might not be readily available
  • Experience of working with and updating version controlled processes / procedures / documents /drawings
  • Self-motivated and ability to work using own initiative
  • Good communications skills to be able to co-ordinate and facilitate the role with staff internally and externally
