Role description

We are looking for several Project Managers to be part of multiple nuclear projects across the UK for our client Orano.

Orano has an established footprint in the United Kingdom built on over 40 years’ experience in the UK nuclear sector. Delivering the full range of its nuclear fuel cycle capability across the British Isles, Orano has provided and continues to deliver services relating to uranium, used fuel management and recycling, nuclear logistics, engineering and nuclear site dismantling. As one of the biggest decommissioning markets in the world, the UK is strategic position for Orano.

Role description

As a Project Manager, you will join the project team in the Warrington office delivering the project safely, in line with company policy achieving set goals and objectives within the agreed scope of work. Responsibilities

  • Working with the Programme Manager to create the overall strategy and create a delivery plan of the programme
  • Delivering the project in a safe manner to the specified functional criteria, goals and objectives, compliant with appropriate legislation, Project Execution Procedures and within the approved project scope
  • Identifying risks and implementing effective risk mitigation strategies
  • Monitor progress and make adjustments as needed
  • Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan
  • Providing accurate and timely information and reports regarding the project status, activities and performance
  • Manage the studies required for the programme and undertake design reviews
  • Manage the project team throughout the delivery of the programme activities

Skills and Experience:

  • Degree in Engineering, or other relevant degree
  • Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline
  • Ability to understand complex issues and deliver solutions
  • Experience of delivering projects for UK Nuclear sites
  • Ability to communicate effectively and clearly with client representatives
  • Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle
  • Strong interpersonal skills and highly resourceful
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
