Role description

For our Belgian Client dedicated to the nuclear industry, we are sourcing for an Experienced Thermohydraulic Engineer. Together with the ‘Safety and Nuclear Engineering’ team; you will participate in: Licensing Studies (SGTR, FWLB); PWR Plant Operation Support, Computational Fluid Dynamics, Analysis of plant behaviour (e.g. Natural Circulation), Severe Accidents Studies and PSA Level 2.

These are the responsibilities you will face for this mission:;

  • You will be in charge of performing Licensing Studies;
  • You will perform complex thermal hydraulic engineering analysis in the domain of nuclear reactor systems using industry-standard methods and simulation tools (e.g. RELAP5/Mod2, CATHARE or any equivalent recognized software);
  • Defend the work to the Customer and the Safety Authorities;
  • Write technical reports about the studies performed.

Knowledge, Experience and Skills

To take on this challenge you will need to have at 10 10 years of experience in analysing Design Base Accidents (Class III and Class IV) and be familiar with international Codes and Standards. Knowledge of task automation through scripts is an asset.

To be considered for this job, you must be able to communicate (write and speak) in English AND French or Dutch.
