Role description
Our Client is a global supplier of nuclear fuel and components, plant upgrades including nuclear automation, as well as nuclear services.
Supplier Development Engineer is responsible for:
- Personal, industrial and nuclear safety as a fundamental part of their job
- Leading and supporting assigned cost reduction and new product projects
- De-risking new suppliers though technical assessments and development
- Supporting resolution of supplier issues and negative performance trends
- Identifying, proposing, and implementing performance improvements
- Leading timely resolution of complex quality/technical issues
- Support for make/buy decisions and security of supply risk mitigation
Knowledge, Experience and Skills
- Fluent in Swedish and English languages
- Bachelor Degree or higher in Engineering
- 10+ years of progressive experience in engineering/manufacturing
- Extensive knowledge in manufacturing processes, e.g. CNC machining
- Experience performing process capability analysis (Cpk) and qualification
- Working knowledge of Manufacturing and Quality Plans, PFMEAs, etc.
- Experience performing process capability analysis (Cpk) and qualification
- Ability to identify key project tasks, develop schedules, manage spend
- Experience leading multiple, concurrent cross functional projects
- Proficient at Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Project and Power Point
- Experience authoring technical documents or operating procedures
- Ability to read drawings and specifications made to ASME standards
- Experience with nuclear products and standards desired
- Project Management experience desired
