Senior Mechanical Design

Responsibilities:
– Develop CAD models that anticipate future modifications for both conceptual and detailed designs.
– Sustain large assembly models aiding various performance analyses.
– Generate engineering drawings adhering strictly to ASME 14.1 and Y15.5 standards.
– Check accuracy of details against layout drawings ensuring drafting benchmarks are achieved.
– Revise models following updates from the engineering team while maintaining integrity within product data management systems (PDM).

Key Qualifications & Skills Required:
– Minimum seven years’ experience with proficiency in SolidWorks or equivalent CAD software essential
– Expert knowledge applying Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing per ASME Y14.5
– Proven track record with DFM (Design for Manufacturability) principles
– Proficiency designing mechanical components specifically related to nuclear fuel handling advantageous but not mandatory
