Assistant Project Manager – Contract
Location: Bellevue, WA (Onsite)
Contract Length: 12 months, potential extension
Thomas Thor is seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager to assist in driving cost, schedule, and scope performance across a highly technical and multidisciplinary work environment. The Assistant Project Manager will report directly to the Area Project Manager and collaborate across engineering, project controls, contracts, and risk management teams.
Key Responsibilities:

Support management of project cost, schedule, and scope in alignment with project execution plans.

Facilitate tracking of project performance using earned value management (EVM) metrics and reporting tools.

Assist with planning, forecasting, and resource leveling across assigned control accounts.

Monitor and evaluate cost/schedule variances, identifying root causes and contributing to corrective action plans.

Partner with the Contract Administrator to ensure compliance with all contractual requirements.

Maintain project documentation per corporate standards and support risk register upkeep and mitigation planning.

Ensure integration with the Project Management Office (PMO) and alignment with PMO frameworks and tools.
Qualifications & Skills:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related discipline.

3+ years of project management or project delivery experience in complex technical environments.

Proficiency in project management tools and practices, including EVM, scheduling, and resource planning.

Working knowledge of Primavera P6, MS Project, and Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence) is preferred.

Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage cross-functional teams.

Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.

High attention to detail and a commitment to teamwork, integrity, and open communication.
