Facilities Engineer – Onsite | Everett, WA
Contract Length: 12 months, with potential extension based on project needs and performance
Contract Type: W-2 with full benefits (health, dental, vision, life, 401k, PTO, holidays)
We are seeking a Facilities Engineer to support the maintenance, modification, and installation of mechanical test fixtures, fluid loops (sodium, salt, water, gas), and specialty components. You’ll work onsite in Everett, WA, closely collaborating with the Lab Facility Engineer on essential systems and facility operations.
What You’ll Do:

Coordinate installation, upgrades, and maintenance of facility systems

Review equipment specifications and ensure facility compatibility

Develop and execute equipment installation plans

Lead technical troubleshooting and implement corrective maintenance plans

Maintain accurate logs and draft maintenance procedures

Partner with vendors and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution

Champion continuous improvement and industry best practices in a nuclear testing environment
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience in facility/equipment management
-
3+ years of industry experience in a similar engineering capacity

Experience with nuclear or radiological facilities strongly preferred

Strong background in electrical, mechanical, and chemical systems
-
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-
Ability to manage multiple objectives and cross-functional collaboration
-
Qualified Electrical Worker (QEW) status is a plus
