What This Role Offers:
Location: Catawba, SC
Full-Time | Remote (must reside within 60 miles of Catawba, SC) | Contract: 24 months, high likelihood of extension based on performance/job needs
Schedule: M-Th, 10 hrs/day, 40 hrs/week
Salary Range: $40-$50/hr

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full procurement lifecycle for materials and services supporting nuclear power plant operations, including purchase order issuance, tracking, and expediting
  • Conduct competitive bidding and bid evaluations using Power Advocate and other procurement platforms with limited management direction
  • Negotiate contract terms, pricing, and cost savings with suppliers; resolve exceptions on terms and conditions in coordination with legal and stakeholders
  • Serve as the primary liaison between external suppliers and the business unit, building and maintaining supplier relationships to ensure compliance with agreements
  • Resolve invoice mismatches and address pricing, quantity, inventory, material transfer, and logistics issues
  • Provide guidance to the business unit on procurement processes, sourcing options, and materials management strategies including cost control and inventory reduction
  • Analyze and evaluate supplier performance; produce daily, monthly, and quarterly reports
  • Support planned and forced outages with timely procurement and materials readiness
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state regulations and internal business standards

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree + 2 years of procurement or supply chain experience, OR Associate’s degree + 4 years, OR High School Diploma/GED + 6 years
  • Experience in nuclear or power generation procurement strongly preferred
  • Proficiency with Maximo/Emax and/or PASSPORT/CAS procurement systems
  • Demonstrated experience with competitive bidding, bid evaluation, and contract negotiation
  • Strong working knowledge of purchase order processes, expediting, and supplier management
  • Ability to work independently on moderately complex procurement tasks with general direction from management
  • Must reside within 60 miles of Catawba Nuclear Station for occasional onsite requirements
  • Valid driver’s license required
