What This Role Offers:
Location: Remote
Full-Time | Remote | Contract – 12 months, high likelihood of extension based on performance/job needs
Schedule: M-F
Salary Range: $84 – $135/hr

Responsibilities:

Design and develop I&C systems and components from functional requirements through final design.

Create and manage drawing packages including P&IDs, control architecture drawings, control logic/loop diagrams, and instrument installation drawings.

Develop and review System Requirements Documents, System Design Descriptions, Interface Control Documents, and Engineering Design Specifications.

Provide technical oversight of supplier projects and coordinate technical reviews of deliverables.

Specify and evaluate instrumentation measurement techniques for sodium fast reactor technologies.

Analyze and apply regulatory criteria and standards to complex I&C system design.

Interface with licensing activities associated with Safety Analysis Reports.

Support multidisciplinary integration of I&C with nuclear, mechanical, electrical, and civil engineering disciplines.
Qualifications:
-
B.S. or higher in Controls, Electrical, or related discipline; 15+ years of direct I&C experience (advanced degrees counted toward experience).

Demonstrated experience designing and delivering industrial I&C platforms.

Familiarity with IEEE and IEC standards; experience with 10 CFR 50 Appendix B and ASME NQA-1 quality assurance.

Experience with high-temperature (400°C+) process design desired.

Experience with formal I&C system startup testing procedures desired.

Previous nuclear reactor safety systems or nuclear instrumentation design experience desired.
