A new nuclear power plant needs operators who are trained to run it safely from day one – and that starts with a training developer who can build a compliant, INPO-accreditable program from scratch. What This Role Offers:
Location: Remote
Full-Time | Remote | 12-Month Contract | High likelihood of extension based on performance/job needs
Schedule: M-F
Salary Range: $55 – $80/hr

Responsibilities:

Develop operator training processes, programs, and procedures for a newly established training department, ensuring compliance with NRC regulations and INPO accreditation criteria

Develop and execute a strategy for training program initial accreditation

Use the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT) to develop new high-quality training curriculum for licensed and non-licensed operators

Revise training programs to maintain instructional and technical accuracy based on plant design changes and procedure updates

Prepare trainee examination material and evaluations for classroom, laboratory, OJT, and simulator environments

Incorporate INPO Significant Operating Experience Reports, NRC Circulars, Bulletins, and Information Notices into training programs

Participate in NRC, INPO, and management audits and prepare responses to audit findings

Supervise collection and maintenance of auditable training records
Required Qualifications:
-
Associates degree in science or engineering
-
4 years of commercial nuclear power plant operator training experience
-
2 years of experience as a simulator instructor
-
Previous SRO/RO license holder or 4+ years of experience with an SRO-certification

Mastery of skills and extensive subject matter knowledge in the analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation, and modification of licensed operator training programs

Working knowledge of plant simulation software

Excellent technical writing, communication, and presentation skills
