Plant Integration Engineer, Electrical

Full-Time, Remote, Contract – 12 months, high likelihood of extension based on performance/job needs
Schedule: Monday-Friday
Salary Range: $69-$100

Responsibilities:

• Provide design oversight of partners and subcontractors developing electrical system designs for an advanced nuclear reactor, from functional requirements through final design

• Support development of electrical deliverables: procurement specifications, requirements documents, system design descriptions, FMEAs, calculations, and single-line diagrams

• Apply structure/system/component classification guidance and industrial/nuclear codes and standards to electrical system design and licensing requirements

• Integrate electrical scope with mechanical, nuclear, and I&C disciplines across internal, partner, and contractor teams

• Coordinate with licensing teams on NRC correspondence and support Safety Analysis Report preparation and revisions

• Provide technical oversight of EPC contractor procurement activities

• Support geographically distributed, multidisciplinary design teams on technical and license-basis documentation

Qualifications:

• B.S. in Engineering (advanced degree a plus, counts toward experience); 10+ years of direct electrical systems experience

• Experience overseeing and integrating multiple organizations in engineering design delivery

• Prior nuclear electrical systems design experience strongly desired

• Familiarity with Class 1E standards (IEEE 308/323/344/379/383/384/741) preferred

• Familiarity with nuclear QA requirements (10 CFR 50 Appendix B, ASME NQA-1) strongly desired

• Experience with transmission system design, protection, control, and planning a plus

• Proficiency with ETAP, AutoCAD (Standard/Electrical), or SolidWorks desired

• New-build project experience preferred
