Mechanical Methods and Validation Engineer – Contract

What this role offers:

  • Location: Remote or Hybrid out of Bellevue WA
  • Full-Time, 12-Month Contract, high likelihood of extension based on performance/job needs
  • Salary Range: $84-90/hour depending on experience

Your Role:

  • Collaborate with testing teams to develop and validate advanced mechanical analysis methodologies.
  • Design pretest predictions, benchmark results against test data, and oversee real-time validation tests for accuracy.
  • Document benchmarks through detailed reports supporting method validations.
  • Conduct uncertainty quantifications as part of ongoing methods development efforts.
  • Perform critical analyses contributing directly to reactor core systems’ designs and components’ functionality.

Key Qualifications:

  • We’re looking for candidates who bring at least 10+ years’ experience applying their engineering acumen across hand-calculations or finite element models (such as Abaqus). Nuclear industry familiarity is advantageous but not mandatory .
  • Python programming knowledge & automation skills are strongly preferred useful day-to-day instrumentation troubleshooting/debug cycles.
