Thermal-Hydraulic Software Analysis Engineer – Contract Opportunity

Are you ready to make an impact in cutting-edge nuclear technology? We are seeking a Thermal Hydraulic Software Analysis Engineer on a contract basis. This role offers the opportunity to contribute directly toward computational thermal-hydraulic analysis for advanced reactor systems as part of the Natrium Reactor program. You’ll collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams while driving innovation within this highly specialized field.

What this role offers:
Location: Remote or Hybrid out of Bellevue, United States
Full-Time, 12-Month Contract, high likelihood of extension based on performance/job needs
Salary Range: $72-90/hour depending on experience

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct detailed thermal hydraulic analyses and calculations using state-of-the-art tools like proprietary software and computational fluid dynamics.
Explore innovative design options by evaluating core assembly configurations under varied conditions.
Collaborate across disciplines to solve complex engineering challenges tied to heat transfer mechanisms and structural integrity.
Document findings through technical presentations, informal updates, or formal reports tailored for high-stakes decision-making processes.

Essential Qualifications:
To excel in this position:
Technical Expertise: Minimum 6+ years (or equivalent graduate-level experience) working on simulation-based designs involving heat/mass transfer fundamentals specific to nuclear cores.
Programming Skills: Proficiency with Python/Java scripting; C++ expertise is advantageous when automating data-intensive tasks or developing solvers from scratch.
Industry Knowledge: Familiarity handling liquid-metal cooling techniques alongside compliance frameworks such NQA standards boosts your candidacy further!
