Nuclear Operations Lead

A major nuclear new build project in the Netherlands is seeking a Nuclear Operations Lead to ensure operational expertise is embedded from day one.

You’ll bring direct experience from nuclear plant operations to help shape owner’s requirements, commissioning strategies, and long-term operations planning. This role is key to making sure future plant performance, safety, and maintainability are built into the project from the start.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the internal expert on plant operations and commissioning.
• Ensure operational needs are reflected in technical requirements and vendor engagement.
• Advise on start-up, outage planning, asset management, and operational readiness.
• Identify operational risks early and help shape mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate across teams to embed operational thinking into project decisions.

Profile

• Strong operational background within nuclear power stations, with experience in roles such as Shift Manager, Operations Manager, or equivalent.
• Solid understanding of plant commissioning, start-up, operational readiness, long term asset and outage management.
• Experience contributing to the development of owner’s requirements and operational input into vendor discussions is desirable.
• Previous involvement with nuclear operators, utilities, or technology vendors; experience on Dutch nuclear sites is an asset.
• Commitment to nuclear safety culture and operational excellence.
