Project & Implementation Manager

Overview

We’re seeking a Project Support Specialist to provide high-value technical and operational support to the Projects Directorate within a commercial nuclear facility. This role ensures the successful planning and execution of capital and outage projects while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, cost control, and schedule performance.

The Project Support Specialist delivers governance, oversight, and integration services that enable Project Managers to execute project deliverables effectively and in compliance with industry and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and oversight to project teams across all phases of planning and execution.

• Support project managers in achieving performance objectives, ensuring delivery within cost, schedule, and quality targets.

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in project controls, construction management, and operational readiness.

• Ensure compliance with plant procedures, safety regulations, and corporate governance requirements.

• Interface with multiple functional groups to coordinate scope, outage execution, and post-project performance analysis.

• Review and interpret project schedules, cost forecasts, and progress reports to support decision-making.

Desired Education and Experience

• Proven experience in construction management.

• Demonstrated success supporting or managing multiple refueling outages at a commercial nuclear power plant.

• Strong understanding of nuclear facility production and operational processes.

Required Skills and Abilities

• In-depth knowledge of commercial nuclear plant operations and production systems.

• Direct experience with refueling outage execution and coordination.

• Proficiency with Enterprise Management Software such as Asset Suite, SAP, or equivalent.

• Strong working knowledge of logic-driven scheduling tools such as Primavera (P6) or Microsoft Project.

• Excellent analytical, communication, and coordination skills to support multidisciplinary project teams.
