Radioactive Material Transport Engineer

We are seeking a Radioactive Material Transport Engineer to join an exciting project based out of Bellevue, United States. This is your opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping next-generation solutions for packaging and transporting radioactive materials.

Responsibilities:
– Develop TerraPower’s nuclear material transportation program.
– Oversee design, licensing, testing & fabrication of shipping containers.
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams on procurement strategies and risk management plans.
– Ensure compliance with 10 CFR 71/49 CFR regulations governing radioactive shipments.
– Lead safety procedures development for Class 7 hazardous material transport.

Key Qualifications:
To excel in this position:
– Bachelor’s degree preferred (Mechanical Engineering or equivalent).
– Between two-to-ten years’ engineering experience required.
– Familiarity with key industry practices such as familiarity w/nuclear logistics providers helpful
