A commercial nuclear power utility is seeking an experienced Project Lead to drive high-impact power and technology projects from concept through execution. If you thrive coordinating cross-functional teams, navigating regulatory approvals, and keeping complex utility projects on budget and on schedule, this role offers the chance to make a visible, lasting impact at a critical facility.
What This Role Offers
Location: Richland, WA
Full-Time, Onsite, Contract – 12 months, with high likelihood of extension based on performance/job needs
Schedule: M-Th, 4×10’s
Salary Range: $40-50/hr
Mob/Demob: Up to $1000 each eay
Per Diem: $216/day x 7 days/wk

Responsibilities

Lead project management for all phases of new applied technology and power management projects

Identify project needs and opportunities; prepare proposals, term sheets, and business/development plans

Form and lead cross-functional project teams; hire and manage outside technical and environmental consultants

Build strategic plans, budgets, and project pro-formas

Identify and develop project sites; obtain management, board, and regulatory approvals

Manage procurement of major equipment and construction services; arrange construction management support

Arrange project financing and negotiate term sheets, PPAs, and other development agreements

Coordinate with Operations & Maintenance/Professional Services on operating cost projections and transition planning

Maintain industry liaisons and current technical expertise through committees, forums, journals, and training

Support the biennial refueling outage as designated
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of progressively responsible project management or professional-level experience in an electric public utility or equivalent environment; OR Associate’s degree and 3+ years; OR High school diploma/GED and 5+ years

Working knowledge of project management techniques and methodologies

Advanced proficiency with Microsoft project management software and tools
