What this role offers:
Location: On Site, Bellevue, WA
Full-Time, On Site, Contract – 12 months, high likelihood of extension based on performance/job needs
Schedule: Monday-Friday
Salary Range: $37-$74

Responsibilities:

Design, build, wire, test, and troubleshoot electrical control panels and instrumentation systems for laboratory and industrial test facilities

Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot LabVIEW-based control and data acquisition systems

Configure and integrate instrumentation, sensors, heaters, control valves, VFDs, motors, and other field devices

Support startup, shakedown, commissioning, and troubleshooting of electrical, instrumentation, and control systems in an R&D environment

Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, P&IDs, and instrumentation drawings
-
Develop user-friendly operator interfaces and reliable data acquisition architectures
-
Maintain system documentation: wiring diagrams, panel layouts, I/O lists, calibration records, and test procedures

Evaluate commercially available instrumentation, controls hardware, and DAQ solutions for applicability and scalability
Qualifications:
-
Associate degree, technical certification, trade school, military technical training, or equivalent hands-on experience in electrical controls, automation, instrumentation, or mechatronics

5+ years hands-on experience building, troubleshooting, commissioning, or maintaining industrial control/instrumentation systems
-
Experience building and wiring electrical control panels from schematics

Experience programming and troubleshooting National Instruments LabVIEW and DAQ systems
-
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, P&IDs, and instrumentation drawings

Field experience in startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, and calibration of electrical/instrumentation systems

Preferred: PLC/HMI programming, industrial communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, Modbus TCP/IP, Profinet, OPC), SCADA/DCS experience, UL508A panel experience, Qualified Electrical Worker or Journeyman Electrician credentials
