What This Role Offers:

Location: Remote

Full-Time | Remote | Contract – 12 months, high likelihood of extension based on performance/job needs

Schedule: M-F

Salary Range: $69 – $115/hr

Responsibilities:

  • Perform detailed design, analysis, and documentation for ASME Section III Class NF structural supports including frames, brackets, hangers, and other support elements.

  • Develop and maintain design specifications, calculations, load evaluations, and qualification reports in compliance with ASME Section III.

  • Prepare engineering design packages including performing or reviewing design calculations for accuracy and code compliance.

  • Interface with internal quality teams, third-party reviewers, and regulatory bodies to support audits, design reviews, and code certification processes.

  • Support material selection, fabrication requirements, inspection criteria, and acceptance standards for Class NF components.

  • Participate in engineering change processes, nonconformance evaluations, and corrective action development.

  • Maintain current knowledge of ASME Section III revisions, NRC guidance, and industry best practices.

Qualifications:

  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent; minimum 8 years of equipment/component design experience (M.S. credited as 2 years, Ph.D. as 4 years).

  • Working experience with ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code Section III preferred.

  • Deep understanding of structural and seismic design.

  • Experience in finite element stress analysis using ANSYS.

  • Experience in Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA).

  • Familiarity with SolidWorks or equivalent CAD tools.

  • US citizen or permanent resident.
