Project Controls Engineer (Cost Control & Estimating)

For one of our clients, we are looking for an experienced Project Controls Engineer (Cost Control & Estimating) to support a major nuclear project. The role focuses on cost estimating and cost control activities and involves close collaboration with the Cost Estimating Lead and the Program Controls team. You will contribute to estimate assurance activities and support the development of robust cost processes across the project.

Main Responsibilities:

• Support the review of BL09 CAPEX and identify optimization opportunities in collaboration with the estimating team
• Contribute to estimate assurance activities for Contract Batches 0/1/2
• Assist in the development and implementation of robust cost estimating procedures
• Provide ad‑hoc cost estimating and cost control support to the Program Controls team
• Support alignment with stakeholders on estimating methodologies and outputs
• Assist in translating cost data into clear insights for stakeholders, including explaining the story behind the numbers

Key Skills and Experience:

• Significant experience in project controls, cost control, and/or cost estimating
• Significant post‑qualification experience in quantity surveying, cost engineering, or project controls
• Significant experience on major capital projects and/or in highly regulated environments such as nuclear, infrastructure, or industrial projects
• Proven experience preparing cost estimates across AACE classifications
• Experience setting up and managing cost control processes for large‑scale projects or programs
• Solid understanding of CAPEX estimating and project cost structures
• Experience with contract and commercial management is preferred
• Fluency in English is required; Dutch language skills are an advantage
