Site Engineer

As Site Engineer, you’ll join a high-performing team delivering complex construction, modification, demolition and decommissioning activities at Trawsfynydd. Working within a highly regulated nuclear environment, you’ll contribute to projects that demand technical excellence, careful planning and an unwavering commitment to safety.

You’ll work alongside experienced construction and engineering professionals, gaining exposure to challenges and responsibilities that are rarely encountered on conventional projects. Location: Trawsfynydd, North Wales (Full-Time On Site)

Contract Length: 24 Months

Working Pattern: Four-Day Working Week

Pay Rate: Up to £30/hour PAYE or £42.00/hour Umbrella

IR35: In Scope

Responsibilities

* Support the safe delivery of construction, modification, demolition and decommissioning activities across the site.

* Champion a strong safety culture and promote the highest standards of environmental, quality and compliance performance.

* Review and accept method statements, risk assessments and safe systems of work to ensure activities are delivered safely and effectively.

* Work closely with construction, engineering and project teams to coordinate site activities and overcome technical challenges.

* Support the planning and execution of complex construction activities, including lifting operations, temporary works and working at height.

* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by sharing lessons learned and promoting best practice.

* Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with project requirements, site procedures and regulatory standards.

* Build effective working relationships with contractors and stakeholders to support successful project delivery.

Skills and Experience

* CITB Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS), NEBOSH Construction Certificate, or equivalent construction safety qualification.

* Construction or civil engineering background.

* Experience supervising or managing site-based construction activities.

* Experience supporting activities such as demolition, lifting operations, temporary works and/or working at height.

* Strong understanding of Construction Design and Management (CDM) principles.

* HNC, NVQ Level 5, or equivalent technical qualification.

* Good knowledge of construction processes, site controls and safety requirements.

* Ability to work collaboratively within a highly regulated project environment.
