Senior Implementation Manager – Outage

Outage critical path is where schedules are won or lost, and this role puts your field experience right at the center of it. Join a commercial nuclear station as the senior implementation expert on high-risk mechanical projects, where your review of a plan can save critical-path hours, shorten outages, and keep costly risks from ever materializing.

What this role offers:
Location: Richland, WA
Full-Time | Onsite | 12-Month Contract, high likelihood of extension based on performance/job needs
Schedule: 4 x 10’s (Monday-Thursday); 6 x 12’s during outages
Salary Range: $70-$105/hr

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform technical reviews of project schedules, implementation means and methods, risk registers, work orders, weld records, ASME Section XI repair/replacement plans, QC hold points, test and commissioning plans, rigging plans, and budget/estimate assumptions

• Validate the quality of all work order tasks before field execution and remediate tasks containing incorrect references, error traps, or unclear instructions

• Review and improve factory, shop, site, mock-up, and post-modification test and acceptance plans; identify activities that would benefit from mock-ups and guide their design

• Apply personal and industry operating experience to project activities and develop response strategies

• Advise on radiological strategies that balance contamination control with work quality and efficiency

• Serve as ASME Section XI Person in Charge for repair and replacement scope as needed

• Provide shop and field oversight, including acting as person in charge on the opposite shift for crews of 50+

• Coordinate with vendors to remove roadblocks and participate in design review boards, steering committees, challenge meetings, schedule development, and risk management meetings

• Deliver timely, candid feedback to Project Managers and department leadership on strategy and implementation

Qualifications:

• One of the following education and experience combinations in a nuclear, steam-cycle, or regulated industrial environment:

  • Graduate degree in a related field or business and 10+ years of relevant field experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or business and 12+ years of relevant field experience

  • Associate degree and 14+ years of relevant field experience

  • High school diploma/GED and 16+ years of relevant field experience

  • Experience with production and operational processes at a commercial nuclear power plant

  • Experience supporting multiple refueling outages at a commercial nuclear power plant

  • Proficiency with enterprise asset management software such as Asset Suite or SAP

  • Strong working knowledge of logic-driven schedules in Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project

  • Knowledge of code and regulatory requirements for maintenance and field work, human performance/error reduction methods, and cost-effective work execution

Preferred:

• Prior valve team experience

• ASME Section XI repair and replacement experience
